The Pause Old Peoples' Home is a not-for-profit organization which has been working for the welfare and empowerment of older persons in Nigeria since 1995.
We are committed to bringing in a dynamic change for the elderly in terms of social participation & integration, economic security, macro societal change & development, healthy ageing, enhancing the physical and mental quality of life and ushering in care systems in diverse cultural, socio-economic and environmental situations.

Hajiya Hauwa Umar Jibrin
Founder
I attended St. Mary's Catholic school, Samaru Zaria. It's now known as Amina L. E. A School. After which I went to Federal Government Girls' College, Bida. Having passed WASCE I was admitted into the school of basic studies ABU, Zaria. I proceeded to study law at the University of Jos. After which I went to the Law School, Lagos. I become a qualified lawyer called to the Nigerian Bar 1995. I practiced in the law firm of Abubakar Sodangi Danson & Co. as a solicitor and advocate of the supreme Court of Nigeria.
I became a principal partner in the law firm of Ibrahim Ishaku & Co. I then became a Principal of my law firm H. K. Inuwa & Co. All within a decade. I was a retainer in some Corporate Organisations such as U. B. A., Afribank, NITEL, NEPA, Access Bank, RMRDC and other private organisations. I worked as an employee with the defunct NITEL as a legal officer. I was an employee of The Corporate Affairs Commission. I resigned in 2016. My sojourn in the public sector has taken me to different countries for different courses. I have been to the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, India. I have also attended international conferences in Kenya, U.K, United States of America.
In 2018 I founded the NGO The Pause Old Peoples' Home.
Meanwhile I have held various positions of responsibility right from my secondary school days. I was a sport captain of my house ( green house ). I was the President of the Muslim Students Society.
I was an exchequer in the Faculty of Law University of Jos (People's Chambers).
I was treasurer of the Nigerian Bar Association 1996. I also belonged to different committees of the Association. I was public relations officer of FIDA 1998.
While in CAC, I was assigned additional responsibility to over units in the departments i worked. Finally, I became Head of Yaba office, Lagos.
Engr Umar Gambo Jibrin
The Zarumai of Kontagora. A Civil Engineer who worked at the Federal Capital Development Authority, Abuja until he reached the Pinnacle as the Executive Secretary. He is the Grand Patron of The Pause Old Peoples' Home.
Anne Uchenna Ibobo
A lecturer in the Department of History and international Studies, Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa State, Nigeria. She was a Research Fellow. She is a Member of the Board of Trustees of The Pause Old Peoples' Home.
Engr Muhammed Sani Alhassan
The Sarkin Yakin Zazzau, Suleja. A Civil Engineer and a Former Executive Secretary of FCDA, Abuja. He was a pioneer staff who got employed into FCDA around 1980. He is Member of Board of Trustees of The Pause Old Peoples' Home
Engr Ahmed Rufai Muhammed
The current Tsadukon Lapai in Niger State. A Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. He worked at the Nigerian Ports Authority rose through the ranks to become GM, Engineering. He is a Member of the Board of Trustees of The Pause Old Peoples' Home.
